As you may know already, I absolutely adore print on print (check out my earlier article on print mixing here). So when clothing brand Missa More sent me this floor length, double breasted style jacket, I knew I wanted to style it in an unusual way. The only thing with mixing patterns is that they really need to vibe on some level, otherwise it just looks wrong. I tried on many combinations before finally deciding on the geometric print dress I’m wearing underneath. The concept for this was to keep the tones & colours completely matching while playing around with the type of print. The jacket is floral & the dress is geometric/aztec inspired, and this combination works so beautifully because all the colours in both pieces are actually exactly the same.
I love this jacket because it almost has a soft, modern, military feel to it. The fabric and the gently structured cut of the shoulders add an androgynous vibe to an otherwise feminine print. I paired this look with simple two strap slip ons and a functional but cute side braid. This jacket would also look divine with a pair of shredded jeans & a knotted up tank top.
This is part I of my collaborations with trendy & super affordable e-boutique Missa More.. Get your hands on this cover up only on their website www.MissaMore.com. Being stylish doesn’t have to cost a lot, just mix & match your pieces fearlessly for a unique, personalised statement of your own! I’ll be back soon with more posts on all things travel & fashion! xxx
