1.Ankle Length Jeans– Ahh denim, lovely ol’ denim, that goes through a myriad of subtle changes all the time while remaining completely relevant and personal at the same time. Everyone knows the power of a good pair of jeans, and my current favorite avatar is the ankle grazer. As sublime with a pair of heels as they are with sneakers, this fresh length is far more flattering than too-long jeans (oh the horror!!) and generally works for all body types. I would say a mid-rise is the most flattering cut compared to the low or high waist variations, and in a classic wash to get the most bang for your buck (and please not tight like leggings, let your ladybits breathe a little women). Such is the effortless cool of this length that you literally need a white t-shirt and a pair of black heels to look like the baddest babe in town. I wear mine with literally everyyytthinggg- oversized shirts and sweaters, crop tops, blouses, heels, sneakers, basically anything you want! Here are some of my favourite styles and where to buy!
Stylist tip– If I could pick any one that would give me the most wear, it would be the classic indigo blue like the second Asos ones below, in a size that is snug on your waist, hips, and through the thigh but also comfortable when you sit and move around, without any butt crack situations when you bend down (happens to the best of us, but very easily avoidable)

2.Peasant blouse-The second style I think every girl needs in her wardrobe is the boho or peasant blouse, in a soft cotton blend fabric with either some tassels, embroidery, lace, or crochet! This blouse has been a force to be reckoned with since the 60’s, when this free-spirited style was born and looks stunning dressed up or down, out and about or just lounging around. To get the most wear try a white, cream, or black colour with neutral shades of embroidery and a neckline with tassels or some detailing, but you can also go for printed cotton. Play around with the sleeve styles and the necklines. This blouse looks beautiful with a long skirt, super ripped up denim shorts, or even the ankle length jeans we just spoke about.
Stylist Tip-Add gypsy inspired jewelry, dark kohl rimmed eyes, a slouchy bag and get transported back to the flower power era (can someone seriously send me back already?!).

3.The Little White Dress- Okay so everyone and their grandma talks about the little black dress, and there’s no denying its versatility and dependability, but there’s a fresher & more modern sister on the block- and that’s the glorious white dress. This style can take you from a meeting to a baby shower to drinks with your friends all in one day, simply by switching a few key accessories. Lunch meeting? White dress. Day party? White dress. Life?!! White dress. Did I mention how spectacular white looks on Indian skin? Sure black is great, but pristine white on bronze skin is a match made in sartorial heaven. For day keep the accessories minimal, perhaps some dainty gold, and add some nude flats or colorful wedges, and for night add a statement piece of jewelry, throw on some strappy heels, and your favorite bright lip color. If you need to wear this for a meeting or work, simply put on a blazer or cardigan, some closed toe heels in black or nude, and a classic bag. This dress is really a canvas screaming for your own twist- there are a million and one ways to wear a white dress so really go for it!
Stylist Tip-The always chic skater cut with a fitted bodice and flared skirt is the most flattering for all shapes, but the key is to really find a good fit for your shape and something that you’re comfortable in even on days when you don’t feel your fittest. It will become an outfit you can fall back on time and again. Send me pictures of how you style your favorite white dress and get featured on the blog!

4.Leather Jacket-Everyone wants to look like the cool kid, and the easiest way to achieve that badass vibe is to throw on a leather jacket and some “don’t give a f***” attitude. This is one of those investment pieces every complete closet needs, and I would suggest you save up for a genuine leather one as opposed to a faux version, if you’re not into leather or animal skin products, many brands make them in leatherette or similar materials. If the quality is good you won’t really be able to tell, the only catch is the shorter shelf life as these tend to deteriorate faster. Genuine leather, if taken care of properly can literally last you a lifetime. You should go for a classic cut, without excessive detailing in a chocolate brown or black. The fit here is super important, when you first buy it it should be snug, almost a little too snug, as leather always loosens over time as you wear it. You should comfortably be able to wear a light sweater underneath without hindering your movement. If you’re a medium or curvy build you should avoid very big, thick collars on the jacket as it can make you look bulky, instead a cleaner version with a zip and no collar or a smaller, flatter collar will look far nicer. The length should sit just below your belt buckle, too long or too short will again distort your proportions. If you’re lean you can really go with any style, even the boxier biker cuts with big collars will look great- but again make sure the size is correct, too big just looks unkept & unflattering, and too small makes you look like you’re going to burst any second. Here are some of my favorite styles.
Stylist Tip- If you live in a warm or humid climate, your genuine leather goods will deteriorate over time. Store them with a product like Absorbia in your closet to help absorb excess moisture, and once a year take vaseline with a soft cloth and rub a thin layer into the leather. You can also periodically wipe down your expensive leather goods with a mildly damp washcloth to get rid of any developing mold and air dry thoroughly before packing it away again.

5.The Barely There Strappy Heel- There’s something very sexy about a well-pedicured foot perched upon a delicate heel with thin, dainty straps. It’s far more ladylike than its stacked heel counterpart and makes me feel like a true blue lady every time I put them on. By now you must’ve seen every celeb, blogger and fashionista rocking a pair of these super classic heels- and they’re definitely on to something. The minimal styling adds to any outfit without being distracting, matches almost anything you put on, and looks oh-so-pretty while being functional and versatile. If the heel is really high it will become a problem for you to wear these babies for longer periods of time as there isn’t too much support for your foot, usually just one strap at the toes and one strap at the ankle- so try a slightly smaller heel (I know it doesn’t look AS glam, but I swear your feet will thank you) while still keeping all other elements of the shoe chic and classic. In a design this simple, small details such as the heel shape and height, the thickness of the straps and the material of the shoe become very important and should be paid attention to. The heel should be thin and tapered (not in an hourglass sort of shape), the straps should ideally be thin, the sole looks best if it’s single and not platform, and the material should be matte and not shiny (TACK ALERT!).
Stylist Tip-Pair this shoe with any damn thing in your closet and it will probably work, but looks truly spectacular with chic evening dresses, long gowns, torn denim and pant suits.
